Hello everyone,
I've a pot (for group planting) which has a pot signature underneath it. Someone know from which potter this is? It was an expensive pot, and I'm curious who've made this.
Maybe there are on this forum some signature-experts here?
Thanks!

Thank you!
I'm searching too on the internet, trying to find something that matches with this one.
If I find something I'll let you know, thanks for your help!

Hi Keith, Youri or Anyone...
I'm wondering if you found the sites you were referring to re: pot makers/signatures?

I have searched everywhere on sites, but didn't find the signature. Fortunately Keiichi Hanaori, someone who knows a lot about bonsai pots/makers etc. told me who has made this pot.
It's a Japanese Fukusen mould-made pot. Fukusen isn't specially a bonsai pot maker but makes also tea sets and many other things.
Mould pot means the pot isn't hand-made but is made in a mould. Not as in Chinese, because this pot would then be much cheaper.
Sorry I forgot I had a topic here about this, thanks for your interest!

Hi Youri,
Thank you for your reply. I'm glad you found the origin of your pot.
If you have any good links to potmakers with good photos and descriptions please share them. Even tho I can't afford the expensive ones, it would good to learn how to recognise them.
I started a new topic on *pots in general* in this same section if you would rather post them there. Your choice.

I have just one expensive pot, I can't afford expensive, but there aren't many cheap pots of this kind for a group-planting.
Tomorrow I'll try to post some links to good websites where you can do research trying to find a pot.
I'm going to make (after finishing the events 2012 article) an article about different kind of pots, which kind of style of tree could be in. Maybe I'll add in that article, or make a different, about famous pottery's all around the world and some information
We can make in 'pots in general' a topic where everyone can post some of their pots they want to tell something about
Thank you!

Thanks Youri. Your future ideas for articles sound wonderful! Yes, a 'pots in general' topic would be great...although I'm not sure if you mean to create a *topic* or a *catagory/section* for pots.I wasn't sure about where to post mine so I started a new *topic/thread* here in the *Miscellaneous-General* catagory of the forum. If you want to use my *topic* you are welcome to...or if you plan on making it a separate catagory then would you please move my post to that section? I look forward to viewing any links you may have to add.
Thanks for sharing the link Oscar! That is a very well written review of the book. I've written down the title and authors so I can check at our local library and/or bookstores.

Yes Leslie, if you don't mind we can use your topic to share our pots we have collected.
Oscar, that's a great book, I'm going to search if I can buy it somewhere. I don't have books of pots yet, but I'm very interested in it.
