Over the summer I purchased a small boxwood plant from my local nursery. After re-potting it, I mainly watered it and left it alone (not trying to train it yet).
We had an early cold snap this fall, and I immediately brought it inside, but I fear the boxwood hasn't quite recovered. The leaves are all curling and turning a dull green color. If I touch the leaves, some of them fall off rather easily. Additionally, since bringing it indoors, the top of the soil has started getting little white spots (mold?).
What can I do to help the boxwood survive until the spring? Is there some sort of anti-fungal spray I can use to prevent the mold (or whatever it is)?
I can't post any pictures now (I'm at work), but if pictures would help, I can post some later.

Boxwood doesn't belong inside.

I don't remember where i saw this but I did some searching online and it was recommended to bring potted not fully established boxwood plants indoors for the winter to prevent cold damage.

I've been watering it once a week, I guess I'll ease off a bit. Should I worry about the existing white spots? Should I get anything to treat it with?

And you believed that why? Box is hardy. As for the leaves could be under or overwatering both look similar. You should water when needed not to a schedule.

Is this plant even alive? The plant looks dried out. Are the leaves soft or crispy?

The leaves are pretty dry.. A few flake off if I touch them.

It sounds like I'm overwatering because of the white spots on the soil, but it sounds like I might also be underwatering if the plant is drying out.

It sounds like I should put the plant back outside, but it's currently 33F out there, is the boxwood hardy enough for that? I don't want the soil to freeze solid when I water it.

I don't have much experience with this. I've managed to keep some Jade plants alive indoors, and wanted to try growing a more 'tree-like' plant.

Yes. it should be outside. Here in my garden they deal with -20 and don't blink an eye. Main trouble is that you have been keeping it way to warm and dry, so now you will need frost protecten for the next weeks.

It's dead.. Sorry for your loss..
Next time you buy a plant, research and learn before killing it..

Also can't stop wondering what this plant is doing on a bonsai forum.. it's just what it is, a juvenile plant in a pot..
