Hello everyone,

I just started my journey on bonsai and you will see I lightly trim the juniper and I'm now on the fence of how to shape it. So I've been drawing some ideas and looking online, but since I'm a beginner and not really there having the "Keen eye" I decided to come here and ask all the cool kids if they will give me some suggestions and help with shaping my first juniper.

Thanks,
Justin

Hello and welcome.
Without a picture it is impossible to say anything.
On a sidenote: please use punctuations and capitals, that reads so much easier.

That young tree is far from ready to style. Just leave it to grow a few years. When you have more options in a few year it will be much easier. And think about all the knowledge you will gain during the time.

I agree with Tropfrog, and i would loose tha fake moss.
On the positive side: it is outside where it belongs, quite an achievement already! Most beginners place them inside and wonder why their plant dies! Good job!!

That brings me to another question. I live in South Texas so I don't know if I should leave it outside all day because in the summer it's going to get extremely hot.

......Do trees in South Texas come inside when it’s hot?
Adapt your watering to the temperature, provide some shade if needed, but NEVER bring a tree inside (in a heated/ airconditioned room)

Sorry, new here.
Is it not easier to shape the main truck while its young? it would be much harder to do so if it gets too thick?

Yes, that is right. Young trunks and branches are much easier to bend than older ones. However tree health is number one in bonsai. You cannot style a dead tree. That is why the recomendation is to learn how to keep the tree healthy first. One full season will not make it impossible to bend. You can do it now, but if it dies you will have no idea if it was your care or styling that killed it. Hence cannot learn anything from it.

Yes. I wire my trees and branches while still green, whenever possible. however, you need to be carefull as they snap easily.

With juniper however you do not have that problem. Wiring the young shoot will allow you tighter bends and they set their shape faster. They will sagg however as the branch extends so a second wiring is normally needed
