This was my first wiring attempt and was the first styling on this young pyracantha, it's still not finished as I didn't wire the whole tree yet or pruned it as I didn't know what I was going to do with it , I will finish it today by wiring the rest of the branches and I will remove the top left branch that's is obviously not needed

Actually, going smaller wouldn't be a bad idea...
I would cut it about 1-2 inches from the base.
If this whole plant is a learning experience then why not give it a try? (I promise I will reply to that post )
