I have a yellow wood tree in my garden that will make a prefet bonsai. But it is to long and i was wondering will air layering work? And what tipe of air layering? Cutting a ring or using a wire?

Ok, well you could either method. As you are coming into spring, it is about the right time to do it. I prefer to cut a ring as I finid it works better, make sure that the cut is as wide as the trunk is thick so if the trunk is 25mm thick then the cut must be 25mm or a little more wide.
