Propagation: Homemade humidity dome

Hi all!
I’m very new at this. Propagating cuttings from a Chinese elm “indoor” smooth bark I picked the original at a nursery in Oregon around January. I threw together this makeshift humidity dome (i cut up an old Acrylic picture frame and tired it together with electrical tape).
I have the same cuttings in the same potting soil mix but one in and the other out of the dome. Obviously the increased humidity is a plus, just needed to see for myself and confirm my place was very dry.
My question, anything else I need to be doing over the next year besides ensuring adequate watering? Learning as I go. I have a heat mat coming, may trial another group of cuttings using a similar dome and the mat.
