Growing trees not bonsai takes a very long time and is hit and miss. This Yes needs to be planted in the ground for several years preferably, or potted on into larger pots as it grows. I would do nothing apart from water and fertiliser for this year, you could drop it on into the next size pot later in the year if it is growing strongly. Yews like full sun and water, so watch the watering, check every day and water when almost dry.
