In warm to hot places:
Keep the seeds for 40 days in the fridge.
In the first week of the Spring, soak them in a mixture of 95% water and 5% peroxide at 80°C. Let them rest for 24h, the water hopefully will cool down.
Take the sinkers and sow them in pure coarse sand (core).
In two weeks they will be sprouting all over.
The drowning.
10 days later.
12 days later.
6 months later.
Outdoors, watering when dryish, no ferts, dappled sun, tap root pruned.
Easy.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge (:
Do you dry out the seeds before stratifying them in the fridge?
I have fresh maple seeds that have been drying for a week, and I thought I’d sow them once they’ve dried rather than stratifying in the fridge.
Why do you need to winterize your seeds?

Yes, i let them dry if they aren't already dry. Most good seed vendors sell them dried and sealed.
I need the cold stratification because I live in Brazil and our winters aren't cold enough. Others like @leatherback (who lives in Northern Germany) just sow them in the winter and they sprout in the Spring.

Great photos Mish?!
When did you separate the seedlings and potted them individually?
I have 2 sprouts growing in a soil pellet and I am thinking of potting them.
1. Have you used rooting hormones when replanting them individually?
2. What type of soil have you used in the individual pots?
