Hahahahahahahahaha
That is a picture of an actual tree I found on the internet. It is NOT a bonsai. More an idea of how a banyan grows in real life. Becaus that is in the end what you should aspire: 名媛直播 that look like naturally grown old trees, in the most perfect form. I find that looking at shots of free-standing mature trees help to form ideas on how a tree should grow.

Hmmmmmmm.....I'll have to take back all that wonderful praise I bestowed upon you, J for such a smooth deception.
Now you *must* share a photo of your Ficus Elastica! Please?

I am currently busy with a F ginseng. I have heard that to develop aerial root like the one in your picture, is to water the tree from the top so that the water runs down. I have had some success in a year, so it is probably one method that works. I am sure there are others.
In the photo you are not able to see the several finer roots which I let grow wild until they are long enough to tuck into the ground.

Hi Carol,
that looks like an intereting tree. Do you have a shot of the whole plant too?
@ leslie: The Ficus Elastica in my office is growing between a big banana. when I think of bringing my camera before the trimming starts, I will post some shots.
