I find growing bonsai indoors really intresting since they give a really good atmosphere, and while pondering about indoor bonsai I thought to myself: "are there any conifers that can be kept indoors?"
Well, according to my research, there actually ARE some conifers, like the bunya pine or white spruce. And now I would really like to get one, and I have my eyes on the white spruce and the monterey cypress. Do you think they would actually be able to live indoors?

Many trees can be grown indoors. No tree can thrive in living room conditions.

The Norfolk island pine is sold by thousands every christmas around here. Very few makes it to spring and the rest of them die second year.

My norfolk pine is on its third year. Kept in winter in heated overwintering room. 5c. Its indoors but not in living room conditions.
