I have a few pine trees. During the summer I notice the sprout out the long needles around the end of each upper branch. What do they mean? What will happen?

No. I haven't ever fertilized yet, but it seems to be a happy tree.

Was it collected? Or repoted latelly?
Position changed?

I mean, it looks happy just trying to figure out the reason for big needles...

It was a mini Christmas tree. It has been in the shade for some time now. It’s very hot where I live in Southern California. It was never repotted. I also have an Italian stone pine that does the same thing.

So is that it's first flush of growth with you, or on the shade?

Because that would explain, on the shade needles will grow longer to compensate the lack of light.

I just don't know much of this aleppo pine, but they seem to grow differently.
