Dear experts

I am trying to make my 1st Cascade bonsai of Syzygium cumini unfortunately I don't have digital camera but I create an illustration with labels of my bonsais which is 90% similar to original one.

Please suggest me how to improve my Cascade bonsai?

Thanks

howdy iskhan,

what you have designed are technicaly semi cascade styles. the foliage is partialy below the soil line,to be a full cascade all foliage would have to be below this point.

B#1 i would loose all branches exept B4 continueing the curve of the trunk, bending the branch downward and bending left to right in a "S" shape.then developing side branches off the leader

B#2 is a little tougher, but this is what i would do...if B1 and B2 are connected wire them up to create an apex . loose the end of A past B3 and use this as your cascading branch. i dont know how to incorperate B4 into the design and seeing cascade styles rarely have 2 trunks this one would most likely be cut. this one would be a semi cascade style

i hope this helps and keep us posted on your results

Check my new illustration is it OK as per your advise?

thats close... loose the end of A and use B3 as your cascaade branch.it will also need to be wired and bent in towards the pot and be carful not to break the branch. it can be done gradualy over a few weeks if the branches do not bend easily. it is also easier to bend branches of any species when the soil is on the dry side . try to keep a nice curve in the bend this is ususlly the toughest thing to do.
