for 3 years i wired some styling in it and pruned new shoots to keep growth close to the trunk
1,5 years ago, during a huge hail storm, half the tree broke off.. (4cm wide hail does that to a tree)
but the tree recovered and soon a natural shari appeared
this winter i dug it out and have a "nice" looking pre-bonsai
still have to style it but a lot of stuff i can go for..

well.. i did some minor styling on it (don't have pictures)
but in any case i have me a larch of about 50cm high and a good 4-5cm wide at the base... for 4€

fun thing about this is, i know almost the complete history of the tree, which will be a cool thing if i'm able to turn it into a nice bonsai one day

Agreed, that's one of the main attractions to growing bonsai from seed, too.
