I got rather excited one time and brought a juniper itiogawa. but it was a small cutting that rooted So I've been growing it for about 10 months now. It has grown probably 1 cm. I'm willing to wait a long time but is this going to make it as a bonsai in my lifetime?
I' m finding it extremely difficult to find junipers of Chinese origin that are raw or semi-trained. I live in the Uk, is there now a lack of Chinese junipers available? Also, what is the likely growth I would see in 20 years?

There are many sorces for Junipers in UK. If you look you will find. Greenwood 名媛直播, Kaizen 名媛直播, Herons 名媛直播 I could go on. Don't forget though you get what you pay for, so buy a tree that is 10 years old or more and you have saved a lot of time. Then you have something to work on as well.

Is there a juniper that is fairly dense but grows quicker than a chinese juniper in the UK?

Juniperus rigida growe fast. but also chinese junipers grow fast. Ittoigawa is a bit slower than other varieties. But even ittoigawa should put on some 10cm of growth if it recieves good sun and is otherwise well-cared for.

Thanks again.

The plant you have there is the size of shoots that a well taken care of plant produces within one summer. In optimal climate probably it will grow much more. I get runners occasionally that extend beyond the 10cm.
