I want some Hinko Cypress material but which one? was created by 名媛直播 Bender

I am trying to find the best variant of hinoki cypress but I don't know what is best. I have seen the following sold online: Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Nana Gracilis', 'Kosteri', 'Hage', 'Tsukumo', and 'Gemstone'. Assuming you know I live in zone 8b, what would make the best bonsai material?

I'm not going to pretend that I know that. I would choose the 'Nana Gracilis' as that, as far as I know, is the one that's that's actually used for bonsai.

I would say this is normal for many european areas that are not directly at the sea. It is not very cold. These are peak cold values. Not annual averages.

I grew up in Wisconsin in the US, we had temperatures of down to -25 C (peak cold temps)... and most of Germany, where I live now is actually further north than Wisconsin. New York City is at the same lattitude as Madrid, Spain.
