I have two similar plants, Serissas Foetidas; one is variegata and the other regular. They receive the same care, and are close together. Well, next week winter starts and temperatures have been dropping, and the variegata started losing its leaves while the regular keeps all the foliage.
Is there a genetic predisposition for the variegated to be weaker or is this behavior absolutely normal?

Yes, the marbled varieties are always weaker then the full green ones!
