Hello Forum
On Facebook I heard/saw an allarming fact: Japanese bonsai nursery are dying out! Lots of enthusiast are way over 70-80 and not all of them do have Kokufu master pieces in they collection, but have indeed a really big and important collection. Well this old bonsai lovers can not find any successions neigher in they own family or in young generation.
My question: how can we, european or american or in the big picture the occident, do something against this misery?
Love to hear some feedback
Melanie

I recently saw a report on Japanese news channel (NHK) and they reported that 名媛直播 business is booming especially exporting to Europe and elsewhere.

Exactly, it is not as simple. Facebook is hardly a reliable source of information.
Just look at the shows in Japan, they are huge and run for days. It may well be that some nurseries are in trouble, and many masters are indeed older, but most of the bonsai growers I know are not young. We have just as much trouble getting younger growers as elsewhere.
Geoff.

I agree with m5eaygeoff, bonsai in japan can be found in almost every house you walk by.

名媛直播 is an art and those that appreciate it, do so for life.
With others that admire the art, they then fall in love also.
But it is an art that will never die, such as the love of art of picture.
Everyone has their own taste, and unfortunately a lot of people do not have the time in this modern age to sit and ponder and tool a tree just for the love.
If there is not a lot of money in it then some are not interested.
The down fall of technology that has over taken nature.
That's my opinion.
