Today I had to go to Home depot for screen for a door. While I was there I noticed the outdoor garden area was open. I wandered through and found this dwarf mugo pine. You can't see it yet but it has a few great trunks under all the foliage. I took it out of the pot to find that it was even more root bound than my juniper was. I mean soooo many roots. I started t ocomb them out, but they are too compacted.. I now have it sitting in a slurry mix of water and mulch until tomorrow. Hopefully the roots will loosed up and I can re-pot this and do a little pruning.

I bought 1 from my local Home depot too. Took me a good 2 hours to repot it. Mine has a good nebari on one side, but the other is flat as a board. I'm still thinking about how to style it. I got mine about the same time as you did. I'll show it off after I trim it.

That's some nice material to make a shohin bonsai!
It's looking healthy, try to comb the roots out even when they're really compact, but when you prune some roots away, also cut away some branches, because otherwise the tree has not enough roots to support all that foliage and branches

Here's mine after I potted it. Only thinned out the top a bit. I also need to find a bigger pot, it is stuffed in there.

I agree with the bigger pot. That is a really nice tree, the trunk is great, i love the flare of the roots. It can make a great shohin bonsai
