howdy y'all

this little guy is the first of my trees to show its fall color.the big trees are changing but most of my deciduous bonsai are still green. this is a mame maple ive been growing for 2 years.the inside of the pot is 1 inch X 2 inches







hope to see some other members to show their colors too.ill post my others as they change

here the trees are also losing the leaves, i have only 1 decidous tree that drops it's leaves in the winter and that is my acer palmatum, but they aren't pretty anymore.

i will try to post some pictures if i find some nice trees.

To really develop that maple, you should give it a little bot of growing space. Use sacrifice branches or let it grow out utill it reaches some thickness. In a bonsai tray it will not really add girth.

im not really interested in the fat trunk mame ,ill be happy with just a couple branches next year, plus im not in any hurry w/this one it was just dug up while weeding and it survived so... anyway i was looking more for people to share their colorfull autumn trees this just happend to be #1

hers another batch.most of my leaved trees are just turning yellow but for the larch thats all its supposed to do .the arborvitee for some reason turns brown after a frost,but the undersides stay green. it is a very nice rust color this year
