I have some questions and I am seeking advice. was created by wishbone0000@yahoo.com

I bought this bonsai from a Lowe's store in West Virginia on May 4th of this year. It was an impulsive purchase, as I have been wanting to get a bonsai for quite some time and I saw this one at the store, so I thought I had to have it. Now, I am trying to do as much research as I can to avoid killing this poor thing since it is my first plant ever, and I'm feeling very nervous about it. I have a lot of questions and would appreciate some advice.?
? What type of bonsai is it? I used a plant identification app on my cellphone and it identified my bonsai as a dwarf jade.
? How often should I water the bonsai? I read that I should water my bonsai plant every twenty-one days. However, I am worried that this won't provide enough water for it. I watered it on the 4th, the day I purchased it, and I watered it again on the 13th. The soil was dry, but still a little damp, so I probably overwatered the bonsai.?
? How much sunlight should my bonsai be exposed to? According to one source, partial sun suffices, whereas another insists on full exposure. Will the artificial plant light shown in one of the pictures be sufficient for my bonsai’s growth and survival? Also unsure whether to raise or lower the light’s intensity. The app advised me to expose my bonsai to six hours of sunlight per day, so that’s how long I have the light on.
? How often should I repot my bonsai? I have been thinking about repotting my bonsai into a larger pot to encourage a thicker trunk. I read that if my bonsai is a dwarf jade, its roots will grow to match the size of its pot, which can help to thicken the trunk.
? I am curious about the age and developmental stage of my bonsai. Additionally, I am wondering what actions I should take based on its current stage of growth. Because I’m debating whether to make the small branch at the bottom of the trunk in the first image the main trunk or if I should cut off the ends of the Y-shaped branch and use that as the main trunk. To make one branch the main trunk, do I need to completely cut off the other branches of the bonsai? Because my goal is that I am hoping to make my bonsai look somewhat like the one in the last image, if possible in the far future.?
? I am considering a big plan for my bonsai tree. Since I recently moved into an apartment and don't have much space, I am thinking of relocating it outside in a temporary greenhouse. This will allow the bonsai to have enough space to grow until I have a proper place for it inside.
? How do you taper a bonsai??
? How often should I fertilize my bonsai?

It is a jade indeed. I am not sure it is the dwarf jade (portulacaria afra). I think it is the small leaf form of the normal jade (crassula ovata). They look very similar and have the same care requirements.
Your light is way too insuficient and you are watering it way too much. This is a desert species from South africa.
If it is summer where you are, move it outdoors. Start in full shade and gradually move it during a 4-6 week into full sun.
This is a succulent, not a tree. The trunk size have no relation at all to pot size.
