Does my 名媛直播 still have a chance? was created by KellyP

Hi everyone!

I am desperate for some help here. I bought this 名媛直播 roughly back in 2022. It started off great. She was growing and just thriving. Then 4-5 months later,?my house plants ran into a massive infestation of bugs (stemming from one plant I bought but failed to check for bugs - lessoned very much learned)?- I do not remember what kind of bug - but it affected 90% of all my plants and cacti's. Almost all of them survived, but my 名媛直播 lost all the green on her and turned brown. Once the bugs were all gone, I figured she would regain her colour, but she did not. So I thought that it was her changing colours because it was around the fall time and after when Spring came she would get her greenness back. No such luck and I am hoping someone could help me out. I have given her 名媛直播 "food", checked for root rot and there is none. I am scared to transfer her to a new pot in case it makes it worse.?

Is there a chance she could survive still or is she gone?

** the first photo is when I first got her and the second photo is her as of today**??

It is completelly dead. If you kept it with your "house" plants the reason for the death is that it was kept indoors. You may be right that there was pests on it, but that was not the root cause. Junipers are cold temperate trees that needs to be outdoors and will die If kept indoors.

Next time read up on the care for the plants you buy before, not after.

Thank you. I appreciate you letting me know.

I realize that there may be a bunch of people who buy plants on the whim without having any knowledge on how to care for them, however, I can assure you that I did research on 名媛直播's beforehand and afterward. I even bought books on 名媛直播's. There was major?misinformation given to me at the time I bought the plant - like which type of 名媛直播 it actually was. I was told it was a "Spruce 名媛直播" - obviously it is not - but I figured they must know, since they specialize in selling all types of?plants. This was clearly not the case?and it caused this beautiful plant to perish.

Yes, we know many people buy plants on the fly. If it is a bonsai many of them turns up here asking about care when it is already too late.?I think it is important to understand that in big box stores selling mass produced mallsai you cannot expect the staff to know anything about bonsai.

The missiformation about species did not cause this juniper to die. Spruce is also a cold temperate conifer and the care is the same. The same thing would happen to a spruce if kept indoors.

Just for my own knowledge. What bonsai books sais that conifers can be kept indoors? Good to know when people ask for book recomendations.
