This tree has had no leaves for a while and I do not remember which one it is. I did the scratch test and it is green underneath.?
Can anyone help me ?ID it and help me make it better? I would appreciate help on this. I have enclosed the picture of it.

It is nearly impossible to make an acurate identifikation from a picture of a dead tree.
You need to properly mark your trees, alternativly stop killing them.

Ok, if you say so
To me a tree is considered dead when it is no longer possible to save no matter the color under the bark.? I really cheer for you to succeed.
Please come back when it is in leaf again and we may be able to help you.

The roots look good. I clipped a little piece off the roots and they look just fine. So I am trying something out I heard about on Bonsify. I am soaking it in water with plant food/vitamins. I am curious to see if that will help it.

It will not revive a dead plant. Just because it is green under the bark does not mean it is not dead. It should have leaves and be outside not in poor light in a house. Also you should not remove it from the pot and disturb the roots when it is/was so stressed.
