Hi all,?
I’ve had bonsai on and off, but have gotten my first bonsai in over a decad and am eager for it to do well.
I recently bought a young serissa foetida bonsai. I understand this bonsai is an outdoor bonsai, so I’ve got it out on my balcony.?
What I'm worried about is that my apartment balcony faces west, which means it only gets afternoon sun, and the way my apartment is built, it means its either full baking sun or ambient light.
Will this be enough sun, or have I just shot myself in the foot by purchasing a bonsai without having the correct light?

Serissa is not hardy and needs frost protection. Having said that most of the year it will be fine on a balcony. Somehow you need to protect it without putting it in a house.

I have all my trees in west facing position. It may not be the best but it works.
