Hi there,
I have been gifted a bonsai tree at work and I have absolutely no idea how to care for it. I've tried to find out what type it is, how often to water it etc many times but the internet is just too vast!
I have attached 2 images, PLEASE could someone help me figure out
-What type of bonsai this is
-Is it potbound? Do I need to repot it?
-How many times a week to water it?
-How to get it to grow equally.
Thank you very much!

It is a ficus retusa 'aka' Ginsing Ficus
It is not commonly seen as a bonsai, (So an individual artistique expression of skill and vision) but rather as a commercial product
It is probably not rootbound, but was repotted in a larger pot which did not match the height of the roots (Hence the round soil standing up)
It needs water when the soil starts to dry out. Water based on need, not on a schedule.

One more question - Is it advisable that I repot this plant? If so, what shape/size should the new pot be?
Thanks
