Hello I really could do with some advice.
I have never kept bonsai before so need lots of advice and help. Last year I was given a bonsai that was not happy and now is growing and I looks a lot happier.

About a month ago I was given another little bonsai but as you can see by the other images it has really been through the wars and is in a sorry state. [strike]

I have noticed that it has a powdery mold on areas of the main trunk- please see the attached images.
My first question is how do I get rid of it ? and secondly will this transfer to the other bonsai or other plants I have??
Since I have been caring for it it has started to grow some new leaves so that is good but if anyone can give me any advice on how to help and support this plant would be greatly appreciated.
