Hello,

It is nearing the end of summer here in Maryland and I have noticed that a lot of my trees are turning light green. Some leaves are turning yellow. This is happening on my Ficus, Junipers, and Chinese Elms. My Brazilian Rain Trees and Yew all look good. I am not sure why this is happening. I have been using 3-3-3 fertilizer on them every other week during the growing season as well as having some granular 4-6-4 on the surface that I admit I did not use enough of. They are all in full sun all during the summer. I am wondering if they got too much sun, but with these species, I would think they all could use full sun. I think the Junipers may have had some mild numbers of spider mites, but I am spraying for those now. Not sure what else is going on. No real signs of insects. We have had a ton of rain here. I have tried to make sure I do not water too much. But with all of the rain, I am wondering if this could be a factor also. Thanks.

You said it yourself, it is near the end of summer. As long as the tree that must be outside are there then there is no problem.You seem to be using a lot of fertiliser.
