I recently bought a starter indoor ficus bonsai tree from here. However, it appears after I started watering it gnat-like bugs have been flying out of the soil and around my tree. I water the tree once the soil is slightly dry, but it seems nothing I do won't get rid of the bugs. Under my bonsai pot, I also have a humidifier tray as well. Just seems like whenever i miss my tree or water it the bugs keep coming back. Please let me know asap what I can do to get rid of the bugs. Thanks!

Neem Oil.
Fly Traps (The sticky yellow ones).
Sand on the surface of the soil.
Don't overwater it.

how long will it take the bugs to go away after using neem oil?

I am not convinced neem oit will do much. Or are you suggesting watering with it, Clicio?

Usually I drench the soil with Neen Oil to kill the larvae.
