I recently notice my focus leaves with a little discoloration turning yellowish. The tree faces South has very free draining soil, new growth and gets watered every other day and misted daily usually. Does anyone know why this tree is discoloring?—

Your tree is infected by spider mites. Possibly scale and thrips too.
Get an insecticide with specific mentioning of mites (Which are not insects) and treated as indicated on the package, taking care of the repetitions required (I think 3 treatments every 2-3 weeks?) to ensure hatching eggs are dealt with too.
Only water as the soil starts to dry out.
Misting is not really needed

No, but take into consideration that Spider Mites hate humidity, so keep *the ambient* humid if possible.
