Dear 名媛直播-Friends,

A few months ago I bought my first Ficus Ginseng 名媛直播 (big one - about 50cm in height) and it started loosing green leaves pretty soon after it came to my home. I‘m watering it as described on this page so I doubt that I over-do it. I already used special 名媛直播 fertilizer once and installed a day-light lamp but the 名媛直播 is loosing more and more leaves.
There are a lot of leaves growing at the same time but those leaves look scrubby ... just not wealthy ... please take a look at the attached picture - it‘s hard to describe but they don‘t look ?good“ and also those fresh young leaves are falling of sometimes!

2 weeks ago a bought a second, little smaller, Ficus Ginseng at the same shop and this one is loosing leaves even quicker (see attached pictures to see how many leaves are falling of in approx 2 days).
I‘ve not yet fertilized this one and watered it once.

Does anyone have an idea what‘s the problem here?

Oh I just noticed that you are asking if picture is showing the 名媛直播 typically position in my house
The answer is yes - that‘s the position - but there is a huge skylight right above it

I guess it needs more light.
Ficus drop some leaves when moved around anyway.

That wierd grow in the leafs. I have noticed that on my ficus, when it was activly growing the leafs, and i forgot to water it when it a few days. The growth stalled, and restarted again after watering. Making some wierd looking leafs. Perhaps that happend to your ficus too.

Try keeping the leaves moist but no over watering. The ginseng bass sucks up water and I've noticed with my plants that not all that water gets to the leaves. I spray my plants of the same species 2 to 3 times daily with ph balanced water and I've noticed that has fixed leaves in the condition I see in the photo however it may be and issue with light as well. You can purchase a cheap grow light that puts off about 4000k lumen and get a swivel light to clamp around a desk or furniture to make sure it's getting enough lights. Remember these are tropical plants they always and ideally want 12 hours of sunlight. Switching to a dark cycle from time to time can results in great buds. I think it confuses the plant and makes it think it needs to push leaves to get more light absorption. Just some tips from personal experience cheers and good luck
