I don't think mites is likely because there is no indiction of mites- no webs, no red spots, etc- thank you for the test- I tried it and no stripes. I also am unsure of powdery mildew because it is only on the leaves, not the base nor trunk. I also have 2 of the same plants purchased at the same nursery- see pic- they aren't touching but have the same problem. Any advise- can I try to clean some way or dispose and start over?

Looking at my pics blown up in the feed I can actually see some red spots on the top of the leaves- I checked underneath- maybe it is mites? Still no webs or other indications of bugs. Is there something I can do?

There's no such thing as bonsai diseases...

There's a difference in location, hence there's a difference in diseases.

So far, no one is sure about what it is. I'd really give it a try on a house plant forum as well. You could try this one:


As I don't grow trees indoors, I'm not familiar with the diseases they can get. Wasn't aware you can get powdery mildew on houseplants. Seems you can.

When looking closer at the left side of the leaf, there are also beige spider mites on the leaf.

Yes, seems to be spider mites- so opinions on trying to remedy these plants or just dispose of these and start over?
