名媛直播

I have a 名媛直播 (not sure of species) that has Ants living inside the tree. I tried to submerge the tree in water for 20 minutes but I did not kill them. I assume since they are inside the trunk of the tree they were able to get away from the water. How can I get rid of these Ants living inside my 名媛直播?

I took a close up picture of the trunk so you can see the natural characteristic it has that the Ants found and burrowed into it through. Also a picture taken from further back so you can see the whole tree. I have where you can see the tiny black ants running back and forth but it was to big to email.

I live in Charleston, South Carolina. Climate Zone 9. Thanks for the help.

Try dripping 99% cleaning alcohol. The will come running out.

Else just put the whole plant for 24 hrs under water.

Good idea. I'll try out the cleaning alcohol first. You prbly wouldn't have suggested that if it would harm the tree. But alas I will be a little concerned and try a very small amount and if it doesn't work I'll try the full water submerge for 24 hours.

I use alcohol to get borers out. But.. I dod not pour it in quantities that is really gets in the rootbal. So be carefull.

You need to check for aphids on the leaves, The ants are not usually the main problem.
