Morning all,

I've had a lovely bonsai for just over a year now and it's been healthy and growing well. I've kept it watered 2-3 times a week to keep the soil moist, fed it with a special bonsai liquid feed every now and then, kept it out of direct sunlight etc.

All of a sudden, I noticed on Monday (having not been in my office since end of last week) that it has wilted dreadfully. Just look at the pictures! All the leaves are limp and have lost their lustre.

Please can anyone help me? I just can't think what's happened - certainly no change in environment, although I may have watered it slightly less often in recent weeks (just on a couple of occasions I noticed I'd let the soil dry out too much) but really not that much different at all...

I've also attached an image showing what it used to look like so you can compare...

got too dry, it might come back, it might have been too much. no idea what it is as no picture, but it does not matter too much. Lack of water

Place it outside ( where it should have been all along) in the beginning in the shade, gradually giving it more sunlight. Water as soil dries out.

Outside? I thought Carmona bonsai were to be kept indoors?

It certainly will be better off indoors directly behind a south facing window pane.
My advise is to keep the soil moist and stop fertilizer until it perks back up.
Then when its looking healthy again I would repot it into some modern substrate.
The compact muck it is currently in wont be helping.

Try letting the soil dry out a bit - it looks like it's sagging due to overwatering. I bet if you adjust your water regiment you will see a turn around.Obviously let the tree thrive outdoors if the weather is above 40 degrees at night.
