Hi there! I was looking at my jacaranda mimosifolia today and noticed these sugar-like crystals growing on some of the branches. I'm not sure what they are, or if they're a problem. Some are clear while others are brown.. I feel a bit of a panic like I need to cut them off right away, and searching online hasn't helped!

Do you think it could be either of these?

I don't think it's any of those, they look very different and don't seem to move at all..

Ok. Have you done anything to get rid of whatever it is yet? A soft wet toothbrush to wipe it off might help. I have no idea what it could be though, unless it really is sugar from insects like the second part of the webpage suggested.
