I am curious if there are steps I could take or need to take with my trees when cicadas come out this year? Anyone have good types that worked for them back in 2004 the last time?

How many trees do you have? I could imagine getting seedling netting could be used to build a temperal exclusion?

I only have 2 trees so making something like that would not be a massive undertaking. Just wasn’t really sure if it was something I needed to do. I know you aren’t supposed to plant new trees this year because of it so I would assume they could do some damage to my bonsais. I have looked at some that people use for vegetable gardening that may work. Should I move the trees to somewhere that gets more sun? I am not sure how much sun the nets block but I would assume not too much?
