Hello,

I tend to believe that I have a healthy mimosa pudica, growing fast. It fully developed 2 new branches a lot longer and with larger leaves than the existing branches.
One morning, I woke up and one of the 2 branches had all its leaves on the ground. On the other branch, few leaves seemed … bitten of.

Do I have pests? Birds? It it a self protection mechanism to shed leaves?

What country do you live in? Mimosas do actually go dormant in the winter. It’s winter in the Southern Hemisphere.

Could be snails.

As an FYI: What you call branches, are actually leaves, so called compound leaves.
