Hi everyone, I am a complete beginner when it comes to caring for a bonsai. I got this Ficus Nerifolia bonsai 6 months ago now and up until recently it had been doing great. A few weeks ago I started to notice spots on the leaves and lots of fine webs. I thought the tree had a spider mite infection so I have sprayed it with a pesticide twice (petroleum oil as the active ingredient). The tree appeared to be looking much happier for a few days however it has taken another turn. The leaves are now appearing yellow and are dropping alot. I am also seeing these black patches on some of the leaves and lots of little dark dots on all of the leaves of the tree. The branches still appear healthy.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I really don't want my tree to die. Could this be black spot?

The tree gets a lot of sun (I live in Australia), and I don't wet the leaves so I didn't think it would be prone to fungus/mold.
