I have recently noticed small white larvae in the soil of my chinese elm. I can see them moving around and I'm just worried for the health of my tree. I left the tree outside and therefore might be the cause of the larva but I might be wrong.
Please help and any suggestions on how to get rid of them would be much appreciated.

Looks like springtails. Totally harmless.

Thanks that's great to hear.
Is there any way of getting rid of them or do they just die out?

They like it very wet, actually a little too wet for the tree. They will disapear with slightly less water and it will benefit the tree.
