And the foliage... liitle bit discoloration but the growth is visible at the middle.

Nice tree! The two dead branches going down the trunk look like arms to me :lol: like a guy running. What kind of tree is this?

Looks like the wire is digging into the nebari. Maybe time to remowe it? But be careful.

Tree looks healthy. I think the mould will go away as soon as you can mowe the tree outside.

@Si Guy - Buddhist pine, thanks. 10 years ago it was mallsai, now the podo (podocarpus) it's better shape except the mold. Running tree, yep jrr tolkien's kind of:) Still work to do .....

@ Tropfrog Thank you very much, I was in panic when I saw the mold after fresh repotting. It's my pride - 10 ago the pod was dying in the flower shop and I had luck to rescue the little one.

Hi,

Mold in itself is not a problem. Organic fertilizer needs to decompose to release the nutrients, so it is normal to get some mold on it.

If you have symptoms on the tree that it is suffering, that could be an issue, but the mould is never the cause (It lives of material that is already dead, it does not kill parts of a tree).

Those are Cochineals... If it's not too many you can remove them manually and then use neem oil...
