I have a Ficus bonsai. I started getting ants in it so I got Summit 121-12 Year-Round Spray Oil as recommended on some websites. I was curious how often I should apply?

The main part of thiis forums members is in Europe and have very little or no knowledge about insecticides apart from neem oil. I think you need to ask on an american forum. We care about the microfauna in Europe and have prohibited all poisons that kill them.

No, my bad. The product you have found is agricultural oil. Not poison. Use the directions on the package or same as recomended for neem oil.

If you can find neem oil locally, that is most likelly more effecient than mineral oil and have a long term prevention effect.
