A few days ago I noticed a some brown on some needles of my juniper and when I got closer to inspect the tree I smelled cat urine. Someones damned cat has been marking my juniper like it was part of it's territory. the plant and pot reek of urine. I think the cat may have killed my juniper. There are more brown needles showing up every day.
This was one of my favorite trees.

Flush the soil with lots and lots of water, maybe even do an emergency repot.

If you repot it use a different pot as well, if current pot is clay or ceramic. Then beach the crap out of it and leave it in the sun for the summer.
I know how you feel. My neighbors cat got my chinese elm that I won in a raffle.

It's a clay pot. I think I'll just throw it away and not take a chance with it. I'm really angry that this happened. My cats are neutered for a reason. hahaha

The pot will be o.k. if you just bleach it good. No need to trash it. We got 3 cats and all are snipped(indoor cats). One likes to try to eat my trees. He tried to eat my rain-tree and now he has a hole in his tongue.

My rain-tree has thorns. The cat was abused by the owner when he was a kitten and we think he has brain damage. He literally tried to eat one of the biggest thorns on the tree.
