I'm seeing what looks like brown spots on my Fukien Tea's leaves and branches (bark), but the spots come off when scrapped and look like some sort of build up. Could be some kind of pest, don't know...need help!

Those are scale insects. Tiny sap-sucking insects that you will need to treat with some poison. Look in local garden store for a systemic insecticide.

Thank you for the info. I'll look for the systemic insecticide. Is there a particular brand or name I should ask for?
