I'm going to grow a horn beam bonsai but I'm not sure how to style It. If I let it grow through spring and then in winter when it is dormant cut it back to the shape i want will this overtime develop a dense foliage. OR, do i have to wire branches as well.
I'd rather give it shape but let it grow how it wants to.
