Azalea flowers. was created by tubaboy

Here a couple of pics of my satsuki. It needs a trim as you can see, but I'm going to wait until it is done flowering. The left side is a bit top heavy, and needs to be developed more in general, but I thought I would share, as it seems to have withstood our winter well.

I am thinking about a different pot for next year... any suggestions?

It's a matter of taste and there are multiple possibilities, but I think I'd like a shallower pot, bright color (light blue or green), oval shape, a simple one with not too many details.

I was thinking lighter color... and green sounds good. It is hard to tell from the pictures, but the trunk is more informal upright, so I think a round, somewhat shallower pot is better too.

I agree, I don't like this pot but I like your Azalea very much.
Shallower, light blue or buttery pale yelloy, oval.

I'll probably repot next year. I did have an emergency repot today as the birds threw one of my maples off the shelves, in an attempt to protect themselves from a storm. completely destroyed the poit.

so after a couple of months, and it's second trim this year, I thought I would post an update.

I'm happy that the hot weather has not caused any problems!
