In any case, the tree with which I started to seriously try and grow bonsai. Purchased As a lrge tree, chopped down and slowly taking shape:

I even liked its ‘12 self, but now just a showstopper.

I like to see those progression and update threads. They help to understand different directions and views on a given tree, broken down years and periods of it.

Sooo Happyy..

Today this tree was selected best big tree in my Dutch club!

As it stood last week (I plucked the growing tips back to shape a little):
