Just thought I would share this tree with you. Have had it for some 5 years and slowly it is getting some branches that carry flowers without making it look like a shrub.. But still lots of work ahead.

that trunk looks beautiful!! i find it hard to style these, as i style one year branches randomly die off the next. do you get the same issue?

Nope.
What do you wire? The green branches? Or the brown?

I wire the young green branches,in summer as they grow and cut back in winter where needed. I wired yesterday.

i only wire young branches as well. i learned the hard way that anything over a year old will snap.
