I dug this out of the flower bed last year, put it in a pot this year, and I am planning on real training this spring. It appears to have taken to the pot OK, so this spring will be cut it way back, etc.
In the meantime, flowers - it has cooled off enough that the hummingbirds aren't fighting for it, but the butterflies and bees are still coming around. Last month I had a hummingbird sit on the spray attachment on the hose.
There are six more like this and the back porch is pretty much awash with bright red flowers. I suspect flowering season is about over, but there are still buds on all of them. The flowering started in August and I have been cutting yesterday's flowers off almost every day since then. I am starting on serious planning on what to do with them all.
