Hello there!

So last late winter here (about august/september for us) I've sowed a bunch of Juniper seeds, and ended up with this dozen of saplings...

For most of them I have the intention of making a forest, so not much of movement going on...

But for others, can I wire? Some are getting stiffer, specially that taller one which os about 35cm tall...

Next early spring I'll separate them all, should I prune their taproots an reduce their height/green mass?

Those are my first Junipers, it doesn't seem common to start them from seed, but since my cuttings didn't root, I hope I can learn a lot with these.

You can wire if you whish. But it seems like a messy job to wire them before repotting. I think the composition is quite nice as is and would wait until after repotting.

When repotting, cut taproot. If you should prune or not depends a lot on your idea of final size and design.

Coool. Congratulations!

Well done growing them from seed. I have also found them to grow fast from seed. I would certainly consider wiring them up. I have a video on this online. A new one -also on wiring juniper youngsters- will come out this weekend..

Maybe it helps!?

I have also found them to grow fast from seed.

Interesting right, I maybe it's because of it's juvenile foliage form, it was really slow development until summer when they blow up (all but one).
And now they're slowing down already.

Thanks for the videos, it is really helpfull :)
