Hi
I have just bought my first maple and i want to try and make a bonsai out of it. But i have never done it before, and have no idea how to "start".
Hoping for some pointers on how to start. Pot and soil is ordered so i will plant it in a new pot and soil.
But, i live in Norway and the temperatures here get to about 30 below 0 degrees. So i wonder how to store it? if i can wrap it in blankets and place it on my garage loft? it is not isolated.?
Looking forward to hear if you guys have any tips.?
Magnus?

Do not re pot until spring. A garage should be fine, but someone with more experience of those conditions may say different.

Where in norway are you? I am on the Swedish west Coast, where they can be grown outdoors all year without protection.
