You are so right. Air layering is a valuable skill to master. Good luck. I have had less than stellar results with most of my attempts. haha.

if you do decide to go the a/l route do research,i watched videos online.the big thing is to use a sharp blade,i used a razor blade,and dont cut too far in.the cambium layer needs to be removed but if you cut into the heartwood it will kill the tree above the cut.best of luck and keep us all posted
