Hi everyone,
Here is my "mother" schefflera.I have rooted cuttings from her for years. . It was tall and lanky so last winter I chopped it back . It has been in a large clay pot until now. Today it went into it's first bonsai pot. I know it needs a lot more work, but I'm happy with it....I'm happy with any tree of mine that grows. haha

I am running out of room inside too. I was looking today to see where a window shelf could go to add a little more room....I need a ficus.

Cute little tree like manofthetrees said, if you train some exposed roots this will look stunning in its little pot, as well as adding lots of character. Keep up the good work

give it more water and a weekly liquid fert dose if you want more growth.do this for a month and you should be having to do some pruning by the next.
you will need to keep an eye on the bud size and pinch out the big ones or your likely to get leaves bigger than the pot

These leaves do have a tendency to get a little large don't they! I've been fertilizing it every other watering through the summer. I think I should let it rest, don't you?
